7 months or so away from the end.
We had a good run.

We had a good run.
quote:
Climate change over the next 20 years could result in a global catastrophe costing millions of lives in wars and natural disasters.. A secret report, suppressed by US defence chiefs and obtained by The Observer, warns that major European cities will be sunk beneath rising seas as Britain is plunged into a 'Siberian' climate by 2020.
Nuclear conflict, mega-droughts, famine and widespread rioting will erupt across the world. The document predicts that abrupt climate change could bring the planet to the edge of anarchy as countries develop a nuclear threat to defend and secure dwindling food, water and energy supplies. The threat to global stability vastly eclipses that of terrorism, say the few experts privy to its contents.
quote:
By 2020 'catastrophic' shortages of water and energy supply will become increasingly harder to overcome, plunging the planet into war. They warn that 8,200 years ago climatic conditions brought widespread crop failure, famine, disease and mass migration of populations that could soon be repeated.

You're not supposed to go back and check these things.

Can't tell you how many sunrises I've seen after the world ended

I thought we died in a fiery inferno in the year 2000 like Ted Danson told me back in 1990 . This, after Time Magazine and my 5th grade teacher assured me in 1976 that an ice age was going to make life a living hell in the 80s and 90s. After Robert Erlich warned my Dad and America in the 60s about the billions dead to famine after the population bomb that would occur in the 1970s. Repeat ad nauseam.

While this particular report was way off, global warming does exist..... You guys do know that right?

I’m still recovering from the robot revolution that destroyed the world in Y2K.
Man I should have been a programmer scamming people on that crap. Convince some big company that you have a secret special fix and have to update all their computers and spend your days in the basement doing nothing

Do you expect the global climate to stay at a single setting? Like an AC?

Just glad we are gonna make it to the end of GOT and endgame.

I’m not against the notion that man is playing a role in warming the planet, but the alarmism spewed by this movement totally hurt its own credibility
It was a consensus among climate activists in the early 000s that things would be cataclysmic before 2020
There’s no shame in admitting you were off on those forecasts
We were told coastal cities would be uninhabitable by 2020
We were told hurricane frequency and biblical flooding would increase
None of this has happened

I was told it was climate change

I’ll take that bet.
So pick any year, the year the climate was at the “correct” temp. How do you control that? How do you keep it there?

The biggest man made environmental issue is the Great Pacific Garbage patch. But no one wants to tell “developing” nations like China to stop littering

Global warming exists......but green people have been wayyyyyy off on the effects of it
Posted on 4/16/19 at 2:25 pm to weagle99
Well, if that’s the truth it’s inconvenient.

I'm not sure what the average temperature should be exactly but I do know that it's increasing at an alarming rate and civilization is to blame, but you go ahead and shite on those liberal scientists and their stupid data
