Consider yourself fortunate at this point. Not everyone who posts here is experiencing the same thing

Gotta love when the very center red/orange/angry part is headed directly at you. I'm gonna be in the exact same position Houma is in about an hour. Already lost power briefly and we're just getting started.

What did? A storm or a tornado
Posted on 6/18/26 at 4:48 am to jsk020
Seems pretty nasty out right now. According to the radar there's a bit more to come.

I fly into BTR at 10am from Dallas. Was worried last night, but thinking I’ll be ok now. Looks like NOLA is getting the worst of it

Northshore here as well. Every phone in the house and our alarm system went off 10 minutes ago with an imminent tornado warning.
Looking at the radar I’m not sure if travel to Baton Rouge for work in 30 minutes is a wise idea.

Weird how the rain has just completely missed ne in BR. Light spotty rain but that's it.
Posted on 6/18/26 at 5:23 am to rds dc
Rain gauge says I got 0.13” of rain, in midcity BR. Weak sauce.

Is the flooding threat gone for the Baton Rouge area?
