Remember to always to wear your seatbelt when driving

Got hit by uninsured motorist who ran red light today totaled out the vehicle I was in. We got spun twice as that’s how hard we were hit. I’ll never forget my seatbelt again.

In Arkansas they take you to jail. In the Bay they just let the guy walk away before the tow truck came to get vehicle out of intersection He refused to give us name but admitted he ran the light.

Curious how the laws are in La, about insurance.
I believe in Florida, "No Fault" meant that in cases like this, your shite is getting fixed, regardless of whether they find the person or if they had insurance, was that correct?
Here in Missouri, if you have Liability coverage on your car, and get hit by shite head w/no insurance, your shite out of luck.

The laws are irrelevant. You either have underinsured/uninsured motorist insurance or you don’t. In poorer parts of the country you are playing with fire not having UM.

Both he talked to police but left before towing company got there
The weird thing was when airbag deployed I thought car was on fire as there was smoke or haze in car I’m trying to get out but some guy is shoving me back into car telling me to sit down. It was so strange

Done several safety audits over the years regarding transportation. Amazing how often people were killed that shouldn’t have been (weren’t wearing seatbelts). Equally amazing how many times people survived when they shouldn’t have (were wearing seatbelts).

Our seatbelts saved our lives a couple of years ago when we got ran off the road by a drunk driver and head first into a tree.
