Wearing my seatbelt saved my life. I was given a 10% chance of living after the accident. I was in a coma for four months. I was one block from home when the mac truck hit me. That accident totally changed my life. People say things happen for a reason. I'm still trying to figure out the reason for the accident.

It sure helped me today I’m positive of that. I’m bruised where it held me in the seat. I am still amazed how the Sportage took the hit and didn’t allow us injury

How strangers stopped and checked on others was amazing also

I never wear a seatbelt.

And insurance is just a bet against yourself.
I’m fine without it.

A friend of mine and his wife were both using their seatbelts 2 days ago when they were t-boned by a guy who ran a red light. It spun them, they flipped over, and settled upside down. They did a q and 1/2 flip. Sore and bruised only thanks to the seatbelts. God bless them!

So some dude refused to give you insurance or name—and the conversation didn’t end in a beating?

uninsured motorist

[quote]Should be more of a crime than it is.

Sadly we have sanctuary cities where illegals are allowed to stay, so they obtain a vehicle with no intention of buying insurance, so that they can hit you, raise your rates, while they run off into the distance...

But, as to uninsured drivers- should go to jail!!

Had a wreck earlier this year and the seatbelt is actually what almost killed me.

Multiple internal lacerations. Needed emergency surgery to stop to bleeding. Crazy stuff.

I'll always wear my seatbelt but crazy it's the thing that nearly did me in lol

The seat belt isn’t just for you, moron. It’s to save you thus preventing your loved ones from going through unnecessary heartache because you weren’t considerate enough of them to wear your seatbelt. It takes literally about 5 seconds to put on. Try thinking of someone other than yourself with regard to this.

You'd damn well better hope the police report doesn't reflect that you weren't wearing your seatbelt.
Ticket for you and no coverage from ANY insurance company.

Seat belts aren't bullshite, but a law telling you to wear one is.
