FWIW, just a front bumper cover for my car runs $280 (OEM part). If you need a new one plus paint you are already over a $500 deductible.

I had a bumper and valance replaced on my brand new truck, it was $1400. I'd bring it in for an estimate and go from there. Up to $2000 I'd come out of pocket, over that I'd go through my ins.

Advise to commit insurance fraud on the internet.

I like your LSU sticker, probably can't get a Oregon-issued license plate I'd guess?

DOn't take it to Lexus, there is probably a place on the shifty side of town that can fix this for far less.

Also, I did this once to a Mercedes I had, I finessed the bumper back on. It had a wobble if you knew just where to look but f*** it, my car, my rules.

Years ago I replaced a rear bumper like that. Actually bought a new rear bumper on eBay (you put in the model, year, color, etc) and you get an OEM part they match with factory paint. I think it cost about $350. Wasn't that hard to attach.

plastic is cheap, getting a paint shop to match it is expensive. most mech shops can reattach for you much cheaper than the ins deductible

Was that your average rate of wiskey intake baw? To add, that's the most complicated rear bumper I've yet to see.

How often does a collision at 4 MPG result in $3000 or so of damage?

Over 15 years ago a broad backed into my old man's Caddy and it was over 4 grand. The headlight alone was around $1400 iirc.

At a glance you'd hardly even notice it was damaged.

Get some Tesla emblems. They had problems with rear bumper covers falling off.

You pretty much got two options. Try to put the bumper cover back on as best as possible or replace with new.

Trying to put it back on will likely look like shite. They are flimsy and warp easy. Likely the body lines will not match back up and could even fall off later on driving.
Going new you'll need a body shop. You won't find a bumper cover already painted to match unless it's used and from a junk yard.
They will have to get you a new one, paint it, and install it. May even go as far to say they may want to blend it into the car so it matches perfectly.
