Why are you apologizing for Al Jazeera as a source?

Outside of outliers like New Orleans I think more Americans were less Cavalier than the Italians initially and that may have helped.

Wasn't our first known case a few days before Italy's first known case?

It's possible they're the outlier, not the norm.

My hypothesis to why we may be seeing more cases in young individuals in the US is because the older population has advanced warning and have been laying low for weeks already. In my experience they aren’t fricking around with this thing.

Which is good. The younger people are still out and it’s getting around. It means we are developing our herd immunity as much as possible.

I think the "2 weeks behind" is concerning testing

Either way, I think Italy got a turbo boost with tens of thousands of Chinese contract workers all returning from celebrating the Lunar New year at home to densely populated areas of Italy.

For them sure but Italy has done a shitload more social distancing and self quarantining than we have.
