re: Rate my truck purchase

I get the hate for renting a house but financing a truck, honestly. I need a reliable vehicle for work and didn’t want to take the risk on maintenance for a truck barely worth over $10k on the private market. I bought new for the warranty and my income allowed me to spend a little more than I originally wanted. Fwiw I do rent in a high rent district, but am not a real estate mogul.

Maybe he's a doctor that does contract work around the country or one of a million other vocations where you move around often. I don't own a home because I'm young and might take a different job at any given time, but I can afford to buy a truck (or a house if I wanted to).

You did good, bought that same truck with leather and the works in August for $42,500 with ttl, no trade in. Been decent, esp on mph, with best 50 mile at 23.5 mpg. Haven’t towed my boat yet, but it’s done well with my trailer and a few 4 wheelers.
