still think a mutt from the shelter is the best dog. It’s all I’ve ever had so I may not know any better.

i have one of those (wife’s dog) and he is worthless and extremely dumb. He’s also kind of an a-hole that i’m sure is doing things just to frick with us. No clue what he’s mixed with. Might be part Dodge Dart for all i know.

my dog (Lab/Catahoula) mix is about 10 million times smarter and just all around more awesome.

That's a terrible list, any list without border collie #1 isn't worth reading. It's just simple science with that dog breed. It's a clear #1 like Alabama was this year.

Well my goldendoodle is a super genius hybrid.

And he still eats cat shite in the yard.

He is really fricking smart though. He understands so many commands that I sometimes just talk to him like a person. With that intelligence comes stubborness too, but he's so damn adorable I can't get mad at him.

I don’t see Dachshunds on here. Mine knows what I’m telling him, but he’s stubborn and doesn’t give a shite.

He’s also brilliant when it comes to getting into anything he’s not supposed to.

Absolutely true with the basset hound we had. They know full well what they are doing.

Bassets are smart dogs, they just do what they want

Agreed on Bassets. We had a female that looks similar to the one in this pic. When it came to food, she was always one step ahead of us. We'd learn her tricks but then she would switch it up and do something different. She had the loudest walk but would get very quiet when she found something good. That long body could also stretch to get things off the counter.

Do not understand the purpose of owning a Great Dane. Why not buy a horse?

Not sure how, but these breeds get much dumber once you mix them together. At least my Doodles are pretty derp derp.

My Labradoodle was pretty stupid as a pup. But now he's 4 and honestly, he's very obedient. There are times I think he's a nut, but friends and family always compliment on how well behaved he is.

No Jack Russell? List is crap. They're the UCF of the dog playoffs.

My dog is a mutt. He's a beautiful and very athletic 45lb dog that has some kind of spanial (bird dog) as his main trait.
I can talk to him like a human and he understand me.
He knows what every room in the house is called. He knows the difference between the front, back, trunk of the car. he knows the difference between the words squirrel, rabbit, bird, lizard. He knows what the road is and what the yard is, and i don't just mean my own yard. He knows what i mean when we are at someones elses house when i say get out the road, stay in the yard.
Older he gets, the more he understands.

I've never sent him to training or trained him myself. He loves to swim. I'll throw a stick in the pond and he'll go get it. When he can't find it, he'll look back at me and i'll point the direction for him to go and he'll head that way until he finds it. I find that extremely impressive considering he's had no formal fetching training.

We’ve had three Springer Spaniels. Incredibly smart but hyper. Couldn’t ever get the last two to not jump on people.
