Conjecture is based on incomplete information. A "shooting from the hip", if you will. In my 43 years on this Earth, I have been to many places. And unfortunately, deep in the ghetto was part of those places. So my statement is based on personal experience. I wasn't raised in a Lilly white town where it's easy to stay in liberal la la land.
I can tell you right now with 100% certainty that if you or I strolled into a bar in the 9th ward, that we would be the only white ones in there. And if somebody didn't say anything to us, somebody would certainly pick a fight. Of course, I'm assuming you're white.

I go to Newark everyday if that gives me any street cred
no doubt you would pegged a target and attacked in 3rd world 9th ward - just like you would in Mexico City
Have you been refused service in a 9th Ward bar for being white? My guess is no because you are too smart to go there. We have some how shifted to you would get beat up in the 9th ward vs. my orginal statement that whites wouldn't get served at predominately black bar. I still that no service is likely conjecture.
I don't disagree though you are like to get marked as a target and face assault in the 9th ward. Not sure we have a big disagreement here

While it is for different reasons, I don't like the bar owner or the girl doing 95% of the talking on the video. I would not hire either of them to do anything.

It sounds like she went in expecting trouble, unbeknownst to the young man with her. She purposefully went to a known racists bar and then is shocked when the woman says something racist. The young man even said he felt uncomfortable there and wanted to leave but she blew him off.

Louisiana Purchase - 1803
The dispute between Spain & the US went from 1803-1810, when folks west of the Perdido River declared themselves the Independent Republic of West Florida, elected a President and even made a Flag.
They were annexed into the Orleans Territory shortly after and admitted to the Union as a part of the State of Louisiana in 1812.
I'd say 7 years is a long while from a personal perspective. Though not necessarily from a historical one I'll grant you.
But in reality, 7 years of hiding out from the lawdogs of the US over in a territory not even loosely governed by Spain and then outright declared its own independence is a good long while for folks who had a healthy anti-authoritarian streak to put down some roots and throw the double finger salute to any Governmental Authority.

Actually that area was without much law enforcement for longer than 7 years, even beyond statehood in 1812. The ownership of the Florida Parishes wasn't settled until the Adams-Onis Treaty ratified by the US on February 22, 1819 and ratified by Spain on October 24, 1820, effective February 22, 1821. The US paid Spain $5,000,000 and agreed to recognize all Spanish land grants made before January 18, 1818. It revoked the October 27, 1795 Treaty of San Lorenzo where the US recognized Spain was the legitimate sovereign of West Florida, which Spain had held since Galvez took Baton Rouge, Natchez, Mobile and Pensacola from the British during the late stages of the Revolutionary War. There is a statue of Galvez at the end of Poydras, at least for now.
