have "lust in my heart"... no, actually more like just strong desire, that I never thought I would ever feel again at my age. For a few years I have looked back occasionally and thought I should feel lucky to have had success dating and marrying beautiful women, and be resigned to never feeling smitten again. But a month ago I went to the grocery store and working at the cash register was the absolute One Ring To Rule Them All, a teen girl with the most beautiful and perfect face that I have ever seen. My heart races every time I glimpse her, and I think I would trade everything I own to be 19 again for a week. Saying a nightly rosary as penance for my thoughts, and I'm not even Catholic any more. Jesus, thank you for letting me see her but couldn't you have done it decades sooner?

Maximize the time you share with cherished family members. No one regrets investing ample time with loved ones, but many yearn for just one more day together.

In retrospect, the significance of material possessions diminishes. Prioritize doing what you love over chasing a slightly higher paycheck.

I would like to be able to run again. In my youth, I was pretty fast. Speed is fleeting, and I miss it.

One of the best things about being young was having your summer off. Even in college, I never did summer school. Spend that time going to the beach or get a job at a resort where you can be at the beach or a lake all summer. Once you start a career, you’ll never have that much time off again.

No shite.

That was rather disturbing.
If a beautiful teenage cashier goes missing I think we may have a lead for the popo.

this hit home. Somehow you think things are going to magically happen, it doesn’t. I’m blessed with a great family but looking back I’ve got a lot of “ I should have tried that”

I miss all of the grandparents, uncles, aunts, and older cousins who have passed. When you are a kid you don’t think about death, and you just feel like they’ll be around forever. I was very fortunate to have grown up in a big, close family.

So true. The holidays remind you of all who are no longer with us and who once helped make the holidays special.

When you get older, this hurts a lot more than "I shouldnt have done that."

Saturdays.
Wake up, fix a bowl of cereal and poop down on floor to watch GOOD cartoons until 10 am.
Get dressed, yell buy to my mom as I ran out the door, grabbed my bike and headed off to meet my friends.
Spent remainder of day riding bikes all over creation, building forts in the woods, shooting turtles with our pellet rifles at the creek, playing kick ball, football, baseball at the local church field.
Coming home at dark and laughing as my mom always said pew you stink go take a shower.
Eating my moms supper- that woman could cook.
Staying up way to late playing Atari and then eventually Sega with whichever buddy stayed over for a sleepover.

Damn life was simple then.

Mostly miss the friends and family we've lost.

Work, raising kids and paying the bills as a younger man were a crapton of stress, so I'm glad to be where I am now.
