Question About Immigration & What Can Be Done

Are most people trying to cross into the US from the Mexican border coming here specifically for work or are they trying to get in in order to provide a better, safer life for their family?
Mexico, Central and South America isn't the safest places to live. The cartels run things and in some places people are pretty much forced to work for them. I can't blame families for wanting to the US in order to establish a better life for their family. And even the ones who come just for work, they are doing jobs Americans don't want to do, but people are pouring in.
Wouldn't it be in the US's best interest to use it's military to take over the countries in South America, in which the cartels are running and establish economies that will allow people to make money to provide for their families and build stronger governments so they can protect themselves from being overrun by cartels?

Or just legalize drugs and put the cartels out of business. Then tax drugs and pay down the debt.
That would be too logical though. Better to invade foreign countries or build some idiotic 2,000 mile long wall that wont do shite except waste an assload of money.

Any company found to be employing illegal immigrants are fined 10k per immigrant per day. I promise that would put a huge dent in the issue.

Remember how the poor settlers of the US were being oppressed by the British? How did they solve it? Why can’t the good citizens of those countries do the same thing?

You haven't thought this through carefully. The company will simply file for bankruptcy and the owners will start over under a new name.
Even if criminal charges were possible (they probably aren't, but let's pretend) then ownership will simply disappear and it'll turn out they were operating using borrowed id's.
