Its obviously a radical idea, but it's not like trying to take over a country just to expand your own government. In theory, I guess do what was suppose to be done in Iraq, but instead of let the people try to establish their own government, the US can build up their government, then turn it over to the people. The goal would be to establish a government that would allow it's citizens to have a safer place to live so they don't have to flee to the U.S.

It's not a radical idea. It's been tried many times to decidedly mixed results. And that's putting it nicely.

That might be a bad example, but it's not like the US is above overturning governments.

The US /Mexico border is 1,954 miles (3,145 km), excluding the maritime boundaries of 18 miles (29 km)
IF you implemented your incredibly stupid idea you would have to militarize that border ( create a DMZ similar to NK/SK) and have troops all over the interior of Mexico in a hot war AND
every other county you want to turn over to its citizens
( Columbia, Venezuela, Panama, Nicaragua....)
it would be cheaper and easier just to give every citizen of those countries $100, 000 and demand exclusive trade agreements with US companies and let the free market fix most of it
then nuke the trouble spots

Per the Bush Administration: We went there because of the threatening terrorist situation here and Saddam affiliations with terrorist groups. They fought it there instead of bringing it here.
We did not take that country over.
