I’ve thought about immigration a lot.
It seems that we need to start investing in those countries so maybe they aren’t such shitholes to begin with.
Like power grids, dams, college education, road building, etc.
I don’t think turning our border into a DMZ is feasible and I don’t know what else to do.

Bella, we went into Iraq and brought down their government. It was said that there were WMD, but that was a selling point to get approval to go into Iraq.
The US wanted to implement a government that would be an ally. It didn't really go as planned due to the lack of a plan once the government was overthrow. That created the environment for ISIS to form.

You make a good point about investing in those countries, but how can we be assured that the criminal organizations that take over their country's government, wouldn't take over what we invest in?
