Ya i bailed on all apple products 5 years ago or so. The whole holding back on features to release an s+ version or whatever in 4 months was infuriating.

So, I was initially appalled by this, but I think they know people don't need wheels for their Mac Pro. I mean, its plugged in. Very few people would buy them even if they were $50.
I think they timed this right after the release of their budget phone for a reason. They are reminding everyone that they are a premium/luxury brand.

Sadly this is the culture we are in as now. Tablets and phones are only expected to last a year before you are expected to upgrade/replace.
