Whew! We almost missed a week without an OT tattoo thread.

did that down in Mexico years ago, took the daughter and a couple of her friends down there, they bullied me into it, that’s the way to go, looks real but is gone in a couple of days

People with tattoos: “Hey, everyone, look at my tattoos!”
Also people with tattoos: “Don’t judge me based on my tattoos!”

I was adopted by an oil field family from Oklahoma that literally had to pick up a field of arms when an Oil rig exploded. They did not make that into a crest.
You could easily make that into a tattoo. It would be a little gruesome, but a lot of tattoos are.

Personally for me I felt starting at a young age I’d never give anyone an extra reason to judge me one way or another.
Not just being self conscious personally but more along the lines of business with people at some point in the future.
As I’ve gotten older I’m happy with that permanent choice.
Plus have you ever seen a tattoo on an old person? Yikes

Psychologically?
When I ponder deep down, I think I've just always equated tattoos with graffiti. Seeing some ugly spray-paint on the outside of an otherwise crisp, clean side of a building or a concrete wall just always gave me a feeling of revulsion. A signal of a devolving culture. Tattoos, piercings, weird modifications, always struck me as a similar jarring defacement, and also reminding me of lower, tribal cultures of Africa, Asia, and such.
That's probably the psychological reason I tend to recoil from them.

You are all individuals.
You are all different.
You are all different.

Don't ever get your womans name on a tattoo. If you must put a name use Mom because your girlfriend might not always be your girlfriend but your mom will always be your mom.

It's the PERMANENCY Factor that makes the Tattoo Topic so bewildering to those who hav'nt and will never get one.
It shines an exponentially added light onto Rash Decisions when you factor in FOREVER.
A Tattoo is the only thing I can think of that you can't change, replace, throw away, sell, swap, forget. Amputated arms, legs are permanent.....but no one chooses it!

Saw a clip the other day from a comic:
Comic: I wonder if any butterflies look in the mirror and say “you know what, I should get a tattoo of a fat single mom on me”

I've always giggled at the thought of a tramp stamp on an 80yr old lady in the nursing home.

All stupid people should get neck and face tattoos!

everyone is different.
Not really. People conform into groups.
And then they become stereotypes.
