the psychology is I don't want to look or be trashy or look stupid.

I just never saw a tattoo that I'd want to see the rest of my life.
We have a youth pastor that looks like my old road atlas. No thanks.

Tattoos are like suicide, permanent solution to a temporary issue. I choose not to have one…

I have no issue with someone getting a tattoo; however, I’ve never seen the appeal or wanted one. To me, it is the sign of someone who makes poor choices, or impulsive decisions with long term impacts.
The only tattoo I think I’d ever get would be if I competed in the Olympics. As a 38 year old engineer living in Louisiana, that ship has sailed.

I always thought it was funny oeople got tattoos to be unique…but how unique can it be if everyone has one?
Or to show they’re edgy with a wild side. I do that by drinking too much and getting into fights.

Tattoos are trashy. I don’t care how “mainstream” people want to view it as. In fact, the harder one defends tattoos, the more they subconsciously realize it was a dumb decision but they want to fool themselves it wasn’t.
It’s a low class action
It’s a “everyone’s doing it” decision shows sheep mentality, poor decision making skills, and poor self image.

Scars have cooler stories and are a lot cheaper (most of the time anyway)

I can respect good tattoo art tho.
Honestly, that's most of my problem with tats. The artwork on 95% of them is straight up garbage that people should be embarrassed by.

I never felt pain from mine; in fact, it was almost numbing as the vibration just felt relaxing. Now I don't have any people who can see, so you wouldn't know I had one until I took my shirt off. The only tattoos I am against are chest and face tattoos. I would love a sleeve but with my job not being a guitarist for a band, professional wrestler,or NBA player, it makes no sense

Tattoos are for people who exemplify prison culture. Same can be said for saggy pants and house shoes in public. A certain segment of society never wants to be successful so they do things like getting tattoos to show ‘they’re real’ when in essence, it’s the complete opposite. They’re nothing more than followers of embarrassment

That's a very shallow perception if you ask me. To associate a tattoo with low IQ or anything else is strange. I could care less if someone has 1 tattoo or are sleeved out. If I was considering dating you I'd be more concerned with how many kids you have, a steady job, or your character than a tattoo(s).
To each his own tho.
