Chances are decent she’s the majority owner on paper, but has very little to do with day-to-day operations.

Not sell it. Illiquid it would be worth a lot less.

Could start by not selling the company. The marriage is shot, but you can avoid giving her half of that sale.

Jeff Laporte looks like a fella ready to sell his company and retire.

Gotta make sure someone talks to Jeff and not some subordinate who may blab to the wrong person

Then the whole premise of waiting for him to sell it before filing for divorce makes no sense. She could just divorce the guy and then sell it anyway.

His best bet would be to sell to a friend. If he keeps it, the court will just put a value on said company and it will be apart of the settlement

He was drafted when he played baseball at Alabama. Good dude.

Sell it for 1 cent, then have a written contract that he makes whatever the company would sell for in salary in year 2 after it's finalized.

The OP tweet is made up FYI. The whole story is fabricated.

So someone randomly chose this guy's LinkedIn account to make up a random story about a plumber in New Orleans.

I have an idea, but wouldn't dare type it out here.

Best to leave that idea deep in the swamps

As I understand it, the original tweet/post/whatever is authentic and from Trey, but it was just a joke. It wasn’t intended to get a lot of momentum haha. I don’t think the OP is trying to spread disinformation, but yea it’s made up.
