Better stock up now on alcohol. When liquor stores close tonight they won’t open again until Monday morning.

Right from the article you linked:

After stores close at 9 p.m. Saturday, the next chance to go to the liquor store will be Tuesday at 10 a.m.

Not over this. This law has been on the books for a long time.

So you can’t buy any type of alcohol on a Sunday anywhere in Texas?

A lot of states canceled it, they no longer follow the blue law, but Texas does and it’s a good thing ... it keeps the families together.

I wish we had nice licker stores like Texas does. I guess it’s nice to be able to grab it anywhere in Louisiana but having giant Specs is nice.

Yeah we could always shut down the River and close the Port of Fourchon

Then we really have nothing going for us.

"It keeps families together " What? Everyone is just stocking up with alcohol today like the apocalypse. People going to get their drink on whether the stores are closed or not.

And get this shite I learned when living there 22 years ago. You can't buy any alcohol after midnight during the week and 1am on Saturday night(Sunday morning).

Beer and wine only. No hard stuff.

Beer and wine is after noon.

Hell, there are probably still dry counties in Texas.
