Is advocare the one that does vitamins?

My wife’s best girl friend from high school she lost touch with over the years looked her up and wanted to be friends again, wife was excited to reconnect, then found out it was vitamin shite and she was seriously upset and heartbroken. Years later after the friend’s advocare didn’t work out, she reconnected legitimately and it all worked out in the end.

That is a sweet story and restores my faith in humanity. It would make a great Lifetime movie.

Tell your wife I'm happy for her.

You aren't. It would b illegal for you to collect commissions without a license. That's we encourage people to get their license immediately so they earn commissions while they go on their training appointments.

Meanwhile, a place like Edward Jones and countless others will pay you while you train for your licensing. They'll also pay you a salary and ease you into full commissions to avoid a conflict of interest and allow you to build your business.

On another note, it's a crock of shite that people can sell "investments" with only a Series 6 license. How can you look out for the best interests of a client when you're not even qualified to discuss something other than mutual funds and VAs?

I agree to go to one of their "meetings". It was like a pep rally for a cult. Just everyone cheering and talking about the money they make

I had the same experience. Just coming out of undergrad about 15 years ago...I had zero idea of what Primerica was at the time. It was exactly like you described. I remember a big fatass bragging to all of us about how much money he was making...he was sweating so bad he took his jacket off and had the most massive permanent pit stains on his dress shirt...it was then I realized how full of shite he was. I got the hell out of there.

One of the top 5 low points of my life was attending that meeting.

I can't help it. My dad has been working for Primerica for 35 years. I was basically born in the office.

Is Ray Yglesias still with them? He was my football coach in BREC ball in the early 70’s then high school mid 70’s. Bill Whittle was my coach as well.

And what was it called before Primerica?

The one skill you have to possess in selling Primerica is you have to learn to write upside down. Bill W is a pro at it.

The key to success is to know lots of financially illiterate people who are desirous of improving their economic situation. If they knew more about money management and the options available to them they would go to a full time, well trained financial advisor instead of their friend who is a plumber/mechanic/plant operator/school teacher turned part time investment salesman. AL Williams/Primerica has long been known for mediocre investment products with high sales charges, of course required to be able to pay all the levels of commissions to the MLMarketers. The only benefit ever to come out of Primerica is that some people do get some financial counsel and access to mutual funds who might not otherwise ever know they were available to them. But in this world of information overload I cant imagine that there are too many people that don't know about mutual fund investment opportunities. And calling Vanguard or Fidelity and having a 30 minute conversation with a random advisor will probably benefit one much more than an all night ABC (Always Be Closing) session with most Primerica reps. And the funds will be much better and less expensive.

crazy how someone like Drew Brees, who makes the type of money he makes is still a snake oil salesman for a pyramid scheme like Advocare.

Period schemes are illegal. Mlm is not. Get your facts straight. PM is mlm just like advocare, & others. People DEFINATELY crash & burn doing these things just as some people make very large amounts of money.

Not sure why you got the downvotes, but you are correct. I believe HerbalLife is in this as well. Advocate and HerbalLife sell products, and are product-based. This is why they are legal.

Another gimmick where the company recruits as many agents as possible.

First line of business is to get you to sign up your friends and family.

You go away due to lack of money but your friends and family stay on the books.

The whittles are pretty universially hated. They just recently bought TJ Moran’s house in ccl. Everyone that use to live near them were thrilled to see them move.

I had to do a last minute CE training and they were the main participants. I have never felt so intelligent in my entire life.
