I had a former coworker call me to meet him for lunch out of the blue a couple years ago. He asked if it was cool if his other friend joined us. Him and the other guy showed up and it was some guy who played LB for the Bears and he just started in on the Primerica garbage. Had to warn all my other coworkers to decline the guy’s lunch invite.
I had a nearly identical experience with a co-worker and Amway back in the early 90's. Spent the remainder of my time working there avoiding the guy.

The only MLM that I ever got involved in was door to door gas service signups. They were straight up and said you don’t make shite for what you sign up, just $20 per sign up, but you make $10 for every signup made by someone you recruit.
I tried it for a day working under one of their baddasses and she was selling probably every 5th house, Obviously very profitable, but I figured out I’m just not good at door to door sales.
The retard part is that this girl that was already doing a thousand bucks a day on her own sales was also making $10 per sale on all her underlings, of which there were several.
If you can sell, if you have the gift, you can make money in anything . Even multilevel marketing.
If you aren’t a born salesman, run away forever.

If you have the gift of selling you should RUN as far away from multilevel marketing as you can.

Multi level will give you the opportunity to make your own commissions as well as your recruits commissions in a more accelerated way than a traditional sales job where it takes years to work your way up to district sales.

It's 99 dollars and that goes towards getting a insurance license which is costs more than 99 dollars. And yes, youre not gonna make any money if you don't do any work. It's a good opportunity for someone who is willing to work and remove themselves from their comfort zone a tad. You can build a business and change your life if you have the drive to do so.

The gas gig was incredibly easy though. It was right around when GA deregulated natural gas service. The pitch was basically “show me your gas bill and we’ll knock 10% off and lock you into your new rate for two year”. Basically, anyone that actually let you do your spiel would sign. The challenge was getting people to listen to the first 30 seconds. If they hadn’t closed the door in face, you had them.
Trying to sell family and friends on long term financial instruments is alot shadier.

Wrong, if you have a license you will get paid a commission on every sale you make no matter if you've hired 0 people or 100. As you are promoted (by selling life insurance and hiring a few people, not many) your commissions will increase.
There's no "getting in at the beginning". Everyday is the beginning. They have people that have worked for the company for 30 years making 300k a year and they have people that have worked for 2 years making 300k a year. It's all about the effort you put forth in growing your business.

CT3 was a year ahead on me while getting his MBA. Dude was universally loathed within that program. Short straw always got him in groups because they knew that he was never going to do anything or even show up for projects.

Isn't that how most jobs work? Your boss makes more than you and his/her boss makes more than them? The owner/CEO makes the most. You can describe most businesses as a "pyramid scheme". But in most businesses you're not gonna be able to advance to the position of owner or CEO, are you? The only person standing in your way in Primerica is yourself. Formulate your own opinions. Don't heed the advice of your buddy Who tried that Prime America thing for a month, didn't put forth the effort to schedule any apointments and quit because he didn't make any money.

I can't help it. My dad has been working for Primerica for 35 years. I was basically born in the office.

I just signed a petition to sue a guy for an unpaid debt who listed Primerica as his employer. He attached a 1099 to the loan app - dude made $122k from them last year.

Y’all have to have your pitch written down on a piece of paper that you have to memorize before joining the cult. I have heard “the only person standing in your way is you” and “don’t listen to the guy who’s only been there a month” bs from three of you people now.
