Seems like there's one of these monthly now of white women LARPing Pocahontas to advance their academic careers. If there's so much white privilege going around it sure is ironic these people faking oppressed minority status: Daily Mail
The best part of these are the self flagellation apology letters Apology Letter
ETA kind of not guilty though...
quote:
sociology professor Elizabeth Hoover confirmed she is not actually a member of the Mohawk and Mi'kmaq tribes as she had been told growing up in upstate New York, affirming: 'I am a white person.'
She said she never knowingly falsified her identity or tried to deceive anyone, writing on her personal website: 'I'm a human. I didn't set out to hurt or exploit.'
But now she is facing calls from more than 300 students and professors to resign from her position at the school.
They are accusing Hoover of being a 'pretendian,' or a white person who falsely claims to have Indigenous ancestry in order to profit.

They make a simple way to determine if someone has Native ancestry.
It's called a fricking CDIB card. If they don't have one, it's stolen ancestry.

More believable than pretending you're the opposite sex.

If a dude can pretend to be a woman then I see no issue with one race pretending to be another.

I’m offended that they use the i word in “pretendian”

if white privilege is real, why do white people pretend to not be white to get a leg up?

Holy shite, Pretindian is the best one of these I’ve ever seen. Talcum X is a close second now.

So gender is fluid and ethnicity isn't. This is tough to keep up. How long until ethnicity is fluid too?

Leftist white woman is a major hypocrite, a tale as old as time

Wonder how these same people feel about Elizabeth Warren?

Funny that you can just claim minority status and say, it's what I've been told; yet for your business to get Veteran owned status you have to fill out forms and get certified.

Have you tried just rounding up to get the other 31/32?

How about a simple DNA test? A lot of people have family histories that are oral traditions. My family on my mom's side had such. O% in my DNA though. A small amount in my mom's. Because we were talking about one person multiple generations ago. In modern times, no point in claiming anything like this unless you get a DNA test to verify it, IMO.

DNA test don’t work for everyone. Oldmanbeasley’s came back inconclusive. Although the Beasley’s have always been an ambiguous people.
