found this in my stuff from when i was a kid and it hit me with a massive wave of nostalgia of hot summer days and my friends and i lining up at our backyard spigot.



i thought we were kings that we had a genuine water fountain connected to our hose bib

my friends were definitely jealous.

Because the acrylic balls were swung violently together at high speeds, the toy famously earned a reputation for being dangerous. The impact caused the balls to sometimes shatter, turning them into plastic shrapnel. Even if the balls remained intact, the strings could snap or the balls could fly off, frequently resulting in bruised wrists, black eyes, and bloody noses for the user.
