bullshite. Deserts are surprisingly biologically rich. Just because you don’t want to live there, and I don’t really blame you, doesn’t mean many species of plants and animals don’t live there or use them at some point in their life histories.

Except when the panels are continuously buried in sand and the fact that the desert isn't a good place for any kind of technology if you want long term reliability. There's a reason the Saudis spend their oil fortunes making their desert anything but.

If this particular one turns out to be true, you will see stuff with it within at MOST 10 years. Probably a lot less.

This would be world shattering stuff and there would be a race to incorporate it into everything.

Its good to see that some independent labs are allegedly finding it encouraging

Yeah, seems like they are verifying the data/properties but unfortunately it may be a hard substance to synthesize.

A Chinese-based also confirmed it had ZERO resistance as opposed to really low resistance, which some suspected might be more plausible.

there's an emerging pattern of observation that this may be a more limited breakthrough than a true revolutionary change in superconductivity.

there will be a trillion dollar race to figure out how to do it

Just think of all the chinese and african kids that will be looped into labor camps to harvest these materials.

Skepticism about the LK-99 results

Wang and other superconductivity experts have been skeptical about the original LK-99 experiment, pointing out inconsistencies in the data. He says the results shouldn't be hyped "until more convincing experimental data are provided." Last weekend, his team at the University of Wollongong began working on replicating the results, but they've been having trouble with sample fabrication.
In an interview with Science magazine, Michael Norman, a physicist at Argonne National Laboratory, was blunt. He said the South Korean team "come off as real amateurs."

Like clockwork, it's shocking how gullible and low IQ the OT is

So NOW you believe the chinese scientists.

At least two other completely independent teams have now replicated the results.

So…

Well this help with the warp drive? That’s the only advancement I care about.

Well,.... there are a tremendous amount of technological "what ifs/maybes", that would require a huge amount of energy to attempt.

Room temerature superconducters, if they can be created reliably, is a major step towards that.

Next question would likely be scalability.

Can it be done in a micro level? A macro level? Only at the dimensions of the original experiment?

Twitter Video

One of the authors of One of the Korean papers put out a new video of a different piece of LK-99 showing the Meissner effect at work.

But 3 South Korean researches just published an article claiming a breakthrough in material necessary to make room temperature ambient pressure superconductors using some fairly common materials.

The paper is NOT peer-reviewed, and may physicists are extremely dubious to say the least, but this is getting a huge amount of buzz as some physicists are pretty excited about the results.

by not patenting it and just publishing it the peer review happens immediately out in the open. if the claim is validated then they have prevented the tech from being patented and then being “shelved”

it is out there in the world unprotected, amazing

I’ve had one for years.

It’s very nice.
