Been hard to keep up with this thread but is this really true? The Istrouma kid was arrested but has not been confirmed as being involved in the mall shooting?

Start unpacking that and you realize how screwed we are.

It is extremely odd that no one has released video of the actual shooting event inside the food court yet. If the actual shooter(s) are still at large, the public needs to know as well as help identify the suspect(s). We don’t even know at this time if the ones shot were all by the same gun.

This is evolving into a clusterfrick of epic proportions.

There are a lot of questions.

The carousel lady’s account does not support the “gang fight” premise, as she said one guy appeared to be turning in circles shooting at whatever he could. Frankly, I trust her story more than BR powers that be.

Not a single person injured fits a “gangbanger” persona, from what I have seen.

I have heard no witness speak much of a big altercation before the shooting.

Ard arrested the alleged shooter in Watson very quickly…which is actually pretty typical for LP. Then came back hours later and said it couldnt be confirmed that kid was involved, as he may have if told to back off —either to avoid “technicalities” getting a shooter off, or other reasons.

There are a lot of moving parts and its early. Lots of speculation. Sadly, BR law enforcement administration and legal system do not inspire confidence.

Thanks for explaining. That basketball interview with him caught me off guard. He was making eye contact with the interviewer and saying yes sir. I wouldn’t have pictured many gangbanger types doing that. Hope we get confirmation soon.

How does get expelled from one school, then get into another putting more kids at risk?

Get a GED and leave normal law abiding kids alone. Learn how to function in society on your own away from innocent students.

Edit: I read he may have gone from LO to Istrouma. Either way can you circumvent expulsion by switching parishes?

That commissioner / judge needs to be held accountable. He and those like him are the problem.

I am confused by this too.

I hope thats wrong…that he did not go straight from Istrouma to Live Oak after the first arrest. I have not seen definitive info that he was at Live Oak after Istrouma, just that his house arrest terms provided for him going to school. I kind of hope he wasn’t.
