Positivity thread: what's something you do to better yourself?

We're constantly surrounded by negative news stories. I figured the OT could use a little exercise in positivity today on this Divine Mercy Sunday.
What's something that you personally do to better yourself?
It doesn't have to be something major. Something as simple as "I make my bed to start the day."
Mais, I've found joy in gardening and going for walks with my wife, me.

Don’t drink.
Remain active and physically fit.
Try to know at least a little bit about a lot of things.
Read as much as I can.
Interact with many different types of people from different walks of life.
Cook my own food as much as possible.
Make as much time as I can for my kids.

Tell myself jokes I've never heard before.

I made a small garden with extra wood from our privacy fence 2 years ago. Besides exercise I sit on the back deck with my dog when I get the chance. Especially on long/stressful days. Where as before it would be to grab alcohol or watch tv. It’s relaxing.

I enjoy going to the playground and watching kids play. It makes me feel good about myself and the future.
No I don’t have kids

Morning Bible read(2-4 verses), study the words, listen to the words.
workout twice a day, if I have the energy. The "runner's high", the endorphins are awesome.
Evenings time of meditation and reflection. Enjoy what the day has been and be thankful. Remind myself of what I studied early morning plus the events of the day.

I always try to listen to what other people say instead of waiting for my turn to talk. Being nice to people makes me feel better about myself.

Have suffered from a self-inflicted financial problem. Instead of sitting on my arse complaining about it, I got another side hustle to go do something about it.

Three things...
Try to keep fit.
Cycling works great for me. Low impact and worked up to 25 miles every Saturday and Sunday.
Eat less!
Getting more sleep and I got into the habit of falling asleep to Alexa playing ocean waves. Highly recommend it.

I'm always reading a book. Fiction/non fiction doesn't matter. I find books far more interesting than "who wants to marry a midget" or whatever else is on TV.

“Retired” from bouldering a couple years ago after I dislocated my knee on a nasty fall. After physical therapy and some sciatica issues, I fill that void with mountain biking (read more like trail riding, I don’t do crazy trails) and taekwondo.

Drink chocolate milk on crushed ice instead of alcohol.
