Shrinkflation has killed them. Their spicy is no longer spicy. My last trip to Popeyes might very well be the last ever. Admittedly it was a very busy Mardi Gras crowd but not only was my chicken not spicy, it wasn't anything. It tasted like chicken and flour. I guess they ran out of seasoning.

Tiny chicken pieces and the side containers shrank years ago and now you are lucky if they fill the container 75%. And as we all know they have the worst service of all of the chains.

Sad to see them slowly kill the franchise. Maybe not in New Orleans but most big cities have much better options than Popeyes.

The ones up here in Tennessee suck arse in general, but sometimes I still suffer through the experience for the flavor.

The last time I went to the one in Houma they were ballin out, food was fire hot, they were filling drive thru orders lightning fast, didn’t make a single person pull up. It was shocking to see.

Just makes you think, If you had Popeyes food and chick fil an employees, holy shite you’d be rich.

Your face/heel turn (depending on your slant) constantly confuses me. It is like if El Gaucho went straight or BoreEd (sp?) became sane.

And youre surprised you encountered some problems? The sandwich is still full sized and I've had no problems with the spicy chicken the last couple of times I ate there.

Just think back in the 1989, Al Copeland bought churches for 330 to 400 million dollars.

Says they had 130+ stores, $1mil per store isn’t a bad debt load if they own a substantial amount of the property, I’m going to assume based on the filings saying they’re trying to get out of their leases they don’t.

I’m not sure what could be done differently but I know if you have a fried chicken place in Macon GA and go out of business there’s something wrong with the business model.

Popeyes lost my business when they got rid of the poboys, jumbalaya, gumbo.

Now it’s just another of several dozen chicken joints to me.

Chick-fila should buy them and run their business model. Profit.

Imagine if Popeyes had the customer service as a Chick Fil A.

So hiring a bunch of Haitians that barely speak English didn’t pay off?

The Popeyes in Chalmette has to be the worse run in the country. I’ve stopped going.

And it’s not bankrupt… man how bad were these locations being run?
