Was he not searched? I have to get searched and go through a metal detector to go to the clerk of courts office at the courthouse in BFE. I dunno. Sounds like someone failed at their one job.

One of the news channels (I forgot which) reported he got one of the deputies’ guns. If that’s true, it makes a little more sense but still tragic.

One other story was a gun was taken from an officer in the interview room. No idea if true, but another option. Horrible situation either way.

Man this sucks. I just learned that I know the deceased officer. Incredibly sad, he was a nice guy with young kids. Such a tragic loss

Same. He is the ex husband of a very good friend of ours daughter. He was a nice guy. Former in-laws are tore up over it.
