And SMOKING it in the hospital, to boot.
Didn't he say in the video he was taking capsules of THC oil?

That’s what he says. But people who get pulled over for a dwi have only had “one beer”. As long as he wasn’t smoking inside the hospital, I don’t have a problem with that.

The sad thing is—if he starts a “go fund me” or similar fundraiser to fight stage 4 pancreatic cancer, no one donates. Is he starts a “go fund me” because he can’t smoke weed, he gets 100k.

The hospital called the cops because he was smoking in his room. It's in the video description.

Uh no buddy that's not how our country works. You don't get to subjectively choose what laws to enforce.
That's third world country actions.
I hope you are joking or you are grossly misinformed about the US legal system. I was an ADA for a few years early in my career and selectively enforced the law every day during that time. Cops do it every day as well. It is actually a well-established tenet of case law that selective enforcement is legal. I hope you don't think that cops arrest or cite every crime they see committed.
ETA I have no issues with the officers in the video, it is their job.

We live in a civilized society with laws. We can’t just do whatever we want, whenever we want and be completely inconsiderate of others. Society would crumble if everyone did this.

I watched a few seconds of it, and decided against viewing the whole thing
The guy who posted it put this in the comments:
That made me think someone was smoking pot.

Stage four pancreatic cancer accused of smoking marijuana in hospital. Missouri. They found no marijuana. Only cbd which is legal in Missouri. I should have the right to choose my end of life medications
That made me think someone was smoking pot.

bullshite! At some point a man has to make a moral decision and to use the 'I was answering a call' doesn't cut it. They should be ashamed as should everyone involved.

I'm confused too. I posted the former but the latter was someone else.

I love these threads. It makes it easy to see which posters are over/under 50.
How so?
I know several people who are over fifty that smoke herb.
I know of two that grow a couple plants in their backyard.
Weed and age don’t really discriminate against each other.
Ha. I'm glad someone responded to that dumbass comment like that. Only reason it has traction is due to old hippie liberals that continue to push for it thinking it's the same kind of shite they smoked back in the 60s/70s.
For the record....I'm way under 50, smoked weed plenty in my life time, have some in my freezer as we speak for when I have some good poon come over that just wants to chillax...and I DO NOT think it should be legalized. Legalizing the creation of a bunch of syupid arse stoners is just dumb. And no I dont give a frick that alcohol is legal, so weed should be. 2 wrongs dont make a right. Being stoned while it's legal isnt going to make you any cooler.

Do you suggest we selectively enforce the law?
This is done all over the country there are plenty of outdated laws still on the books that are not enforced

the police can't just refuse to enforce the law,
Of course they can. Like when a cop sees you speeding or jaywalking but doesn’t bother to ticket you. It’s not the best result, of course the legislature needs to grow up and change the absurd law, but to act like cops are little mindless drones with no power of discretion is wrong.

Right. There are so many laws on the books at local state and federal level that it’s impossible to even try to enforce them all. No one is forcing these dipshit cops to raid a cancer patient.

Just cause you’re dying doesn’t mean you get to break the law.
Laws are made to protect people. Who were they protecting by searching someone's room, who was on their deathbed, for marijuana?
And since laws are made to protect people, who is protecting people from doctors over prescribing them with pain meds?
This is bullshite. It's like the story with the little girl who was having multiple seizures daily. It only got worse and nothing helped the child until the parents researched and found that marijuana could work.
They decided to go to Colorado and buy marijuana to see if it helped. It worked to the point the child would go days without having a seizure and when she had one, it was mild and maybe once or twice a day.
Someone in their neighborhood called the police on the parents because it was illegal for them to give their child marijuana. They had to put the child in a foster home, where she went back to having seizures all the time because she was no longer using marijuana.
Parents had to fight all kind of bullshite all because the one thing that improved the quality of life for their child, was illegal. But it's legal to buy alcohol and cigarettes.

You can’t even take your own medicine in the hospital.

I hear you but unfortunately I can't because I have a wife of 25 years and 2 kids who still need me. I also have a career that I have to consider as well.
Enjoy your Doritos on your mom's couch though. I'm sure you are a bad arse at whatever the latest version of grand theft auto is

Why is MJ illegal at all? It's ridiculous that it's illegal, but again the police can't just ignore a compliant because they subjectively feel MJ is okay.
"Hi officer, I think Bob has some devil's lettuce in his hospital room. I'd like to make a formal compliant."
Cop: "Lol frick your compliant, I think MJ should be legal so I'm going to take a hard pass at investigating your complaint."
