If he would have locked his fricking door, none of this would have happened.
Two can play the blame game.
Two can play the blame game.

I agree that it should have been manslaughter, but this is what happens when you put the defendant on the stand. The prosecutor asked her if she intended to kill Botham Jean when she pulled the trigger. She responded, "yes." That's probably what got her the murder conviction.
100% agree

She’s going away for a very long time.

She accidentally pulled the trigger?
That would be an argument if he said she should get off entirely.
He didn’t.
Her actions fits the definition of Texas manslaughter almost exactly.
The prosecution even focused their angle along those lines by emphasizing the inattentiveness required.

All cops are killers no way around that.

I am pretty sure that she even testified at the time that she intended to kill him when she shot him

If the jury was made up of dumbasses they would use that to carry the legal term of murder.
Hence they found the murder charge.

The murder charge and the verdict are solely to appease the rabble in Dallas. There is no way a murder conviction will be upheld on appeal.
A former judge on TV just said the same thing. Said there was no motive, thus no murder.

Murder is an intentional act. You can’t convince me this police officer intended to murder someone.
Police are trained to shoot to kill. She aimed and shot. Being in the guys house uninvited made this even worse. I'm pro-police but this was a complete frick up on her part. COMPLETE.

You have to be some kind of stupid to believe her story.
Posted on 10/1/19 at 11:01 am to bhtigerfan
would you rather riots or 1 person go to jail for grossly doing a bunch of dumb shite in a row that cost someone his life?
