Are you a juror? Were you in the courtroom every day and heard all evidence?
Then you have no idea if it was a terrible verdict.
Everything you posted is speculation.

I lock my doors moron
so the victim leaving his door unlocked somehow put him at fault here?

I'm pro-police but this was a complete frick up on her part. COMPLETE.
Murder involves motive, a true intent to kill. She’s just a dumb broad who probably never should have been a cop who thought she was being attached in her apartment.
I believe she’s guilty of manslaughter. Gross negligence on her part.

Murder would mean she intentionally went into his apartment to murder him. There was no intent to kill you tard.
I'm not saying I agree with the verdict, but you don't understand the difference between intent and premeditation.
Intent can legally be formed in an instant. It's whether the offender, in that instant, desired the consequence of his act. Raising the gun and pulling the trigger is intent to kill.
Whether you planned to do X when you went in is absolutely irrelevant. The classic example is a bank robber intending to go in and simply rob the place, with specific instructions from his lookout to not shoot anyone and his agreement not to do so. While he's in there, someone gets fidgety, and he freaks and shoots them. He had intent to kill when he pointed the gun and pulled the trigger.

But seriously, I remember when I heard the details of the story on TV and they mentioned that she opened the unlocked door. I thought, “Who the frick doesn’t lock their front door in a city like Dallas at a huge apartment complex late at night? Strange.

Murder involves motive
No it does not, in either Texas or Louisiana. Motive is irrelevant in both states to prove murder.

It's the law.
One party to this conversation understands it. The other is just typing incorrect things over and over.

would you rather riots or 1 person go to jail for grossly doing a bunch of dumb shite in a row that cost someone his life?
I’ll take riots. Y’all only destroy your own neighborhoods anyway. Be my guest.

Didn't she go into his apartment and kill him?

Wrong on the first part.
And today's verdict proved intent to kill. That's what the state had to prove... intent.

She fricked up and then tried to cover stuff up. It's on her.
Besides, she said in testimony she doesn't deserve to be free. So, what's the problem.

Okay, so what do you think happened?
Did she: Accidentally go into the wrong apartment, confronted what she thought was an intruder in her apartment, shot the intruder and then realized she was in the wrong apartment. Freaks out and realizes her huge frick up and makes attempts to cover it up after the fact.
Or did she: Intentionally say, “I’m gonna walk into this guy’s unlocked apartment and murder his black arse.”
One is a colossal frickup and fits the definition of manslaughter. The other is murder.

The amount of tension would blow the city up if they found her of a lesser charge.
On top of it the cops attempted to smear the victim.
The fact that you’d rather riots than an idiot spending her life in jail is pretty frickin retarded.
