The chief of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg police department says police have enforced racist laws and wants to change things......
I'd like to know exactly which laws are racist.

Because black people kill people at much higher rates than white people, laws on murder unfairly target the black community.

Either youre a Cop, or youre a PC SJW. The two are incompatible. Sworn Law Enforcement Officers uphold the law, not take it upon themselves to decide which are compatible with their belief systems.

How is the war on drugs racist? Many of my black friends ride around ripping blunts in their car so much the smell never comes out so cops will always want to search.

How is the war on drugs racist? White people get locked up for drugs too. I think the war on drugs is a joke but if you don't break the law then you won't be arrested, it's really simple.

Jail system is looking for the down trodden to fill their cells. Which floats $$$ into the department heads pockets, which costs the tax payers more, for every jail mate.
Which is why pot offenses will always be on the books. They are who fills the majority of jails.
And i'm not a pro drug person. But i see how these jails have become $$$ makers, not places for people to reform.

This part isn't true. Prisons are huge money sinks.
Privately run prisons make some money for the operating and supply companies, but they are invariably a cost savings over the locality operating it themselves. And local costs increase with every prisoner they take in.
ETA - and the Feds don't use private companies at all, so their costs are astronomical.

This is such a fallacy it's absurd to think people actually believe this. It's just a talking point for pro marijuana people. Most people incarcerated are there for violent crimes, serial burglars, robbers and drug dealers. Most of the people who are on jail with weed charges have a litany of other charges as well that the pro marijuana and liberal talking heads don't disclose. It is rare for people to be in jail for having a little bit of weed. Maybe if they continue to rack up misdemeanors and fail to show up for court, etc those guys may spend a brief stint in a parish or county jail but none of them go to the penitentiary.

nah. I use certain illegal substances for spiritual reasons (and certain religious groups are exempt from drug laws for these drugs under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act but since I'm not part of any organized religion I can't enjoy that exemption).

Please do tell what spiritual reason you use illegal drugs for and what type of substance. Just admit you like the high it gives you, no need to say it's for spiritual reasons.
