Ayahuasca (a natural preparation of DMT), teonanacatl (magic mushrooms), peyote (mescaline), etc. are all completely legal substances for members of the Native American churches and are used as part of their sacraments. Because I am a white man, I cannot use these substances for my spiritual discoveries without the threat of being locked in a rape cage.

Well numb nuts, what you're doing is illegal. No point quoting the federal act if it doesn't apply to you.

Quit breaking the law and killing brain cells.

The drugs I use aren't killing brain cells. Entheogens actually improve brain activity.

You accuse me of getting high, when I won't even drink alcohol because I don't like its effects. It is a poor drug that hurts most people who use it.

Not in LA. The private jails lock people up like cattle and spend way less per day per prisoner than the average. Lining the pockets of the owners and the sheriff's department

Explain how the local sheriff benefits from a private prison. Are you confusing jails with prison? Unless Louisiana is different, prisons are run by the state DoC and have nothing to do with the local sheriff. As stated earlier, is this just a talking point you never thought anyone would question?

DMT is 100% spiritual. Every person on this planet should take DMT at least once. If you haven't taken it, then don't even attempt to bash me for taking it. It will literally change your life for the better in 15 minutes. DMT is in every single living organism on this planet, including plants. It is meant to experience. Anybody in this thread ever done DMT? They can't validate my statements.

Watching Live PD proves that their war on drugs is, in some ways, very prejudiced. Almost none of the pedestrian stops they do on that show are compliant with law. Every show is littered with 4A and Terry stop rights violations.

Give me some examples please

Maybe if I'll explain my backstory, you'll understand a little bit better.

I've suffered from social anxiety my entire life, to the point where it hurt my ability to function properly at my job. All of the people I know who suffer from anxiety were prescribed prescription benzodiazepines and SSRIs and I wanted no part of the side effects and dependency issues that come from those types of prescription drugs.

After looking for more natural remedies to help me, I came across various legitimate, peer reviewed, government funded studies where entheogens were shown to help with anxiety disorders and PTSD. I tried mushrooms and the effects completely changed my perspective on life.

Around the same time I had read a few self-help books and thought they were all garbage, but I read What the Buddha Taught by Walpola Rahola and the descriptions of meditative states and perspectives on life intrigued me, and reconciled with the mind states experience under entheogens.

After much thought on the subject and reflection on where I was going in my life and what I wanted out of it, I became a Buddhist. I realized that I can no longer blame other people or circumstances for my life or pretend that I am a victim of society, and that only I can take control of my problems and sort them out. I stopped being a liberal and got into libertarian politics.

I am sorry that you and others thing I'm some sort of a druggie. I don't share this part of my life with many people, but I felt like given the topic that I would speak on it. Mushrooms really helped change my life; I have a better job now and I am really happy with the person I am now. I hope that some day other people will be able to try these things under the active supervision of a psychiatrist.

Guy, it's a back and forth cash cow for each under the simple guise of "overcrowding". There are myriad documentaries on the subject of policing for profit and this tactic between the states, private DOC's and counties is all a shell game. There is tremendous amounts of money in the private prison market, so much so that companies in it are on the stock exchange.

Give me some examples please (of 4A or Terry stops without cause)

Episode Saturday, 6/17/2017

1. Call made to a convenience store to "investigate" an argument outside. Officer pulls up and recognizes the subject, who is alone and about to walk away... he's purchased his cigs. Officer approaches and asks guy what the arguing is about and he says there isn't one. Officer sees a second black dude about 30 yards away literally about to walk around a corner holding his plastic sack. Yells at him to stop. Dude starts walking back to officer who immediately asks what he's doing and gets a reply of "nothing, I just left the store and was shooting the shite with ____." Dude wasn't suspicious, was walking, called back, ID demanded, pockets searched and eventually tackled. Mind you, there are no complainants/victims, no crimes investigated and no probable cause for search and seizure.

2. Same episode. Black dude walking down street... officer calls into dispatch and verbalizes he is going to make contact with suspicious subject. Call not made into dispatch on the subject... this is officer initiated. Lights him up. Asks guys what he is doing, where he is going, where he has been etc etc etc. Guy is a total idiot and admits he has warrants in another state because at this point, he thinks he's being jammed. Again, no complainant/victim, no PC and no crime being committed.

3. Same episode. Black dude in parking lot, daylight, walking with no shirt on. Officer rolls up and again is speaking to dispatch about making contact with individual walking prior to engaging said black dude. ID asked for and subject doesn't have it on him. Not illegal as he's A. Not driving B. not under suspicion of a crime and C. is not a safety risk to himself or others. Officer "detains" him in cuffs after a series of where ya's and when ya's questions. Pockets turned inside out etc etc etc. Black dude ends up crying his eyes out on national TV like a bitch.

4. Same episode. Black lady parked in front of a house that a white lady is moving into. Black lady in driver's seat with car not running. Officer stops behind her and initiates contact through the passenger window. Smells weed. She admits to smoking a little bud and "ain't gonna lie, she's a little high". LSS on this one is she wasn't in a moving vehicle, there was no complainant/victim, no crime had been committed to investigate her etc etc etc. After warrant checks and a full search of her vehicle, she and her white friend were allowed to carry on and purchase a used mattress for $25.00.

There are several more just from last night but here are 4.

If he is on a public roadway it's called a consensual encounter. Officers can stop and talk to whomever on a public sidewalk/road/school. The guy can tell him to pound sand unless the officer has reasonable suspicion. An officer doesn't need probable cause to stop and detain someone.

Sounds like he had reasonable suspicion maybe? If there has been a rash of certain crimes in that parking lot, he has enough reasonable suspicion. But regardless sounds like a bad stop. Can't detain because no valid ID. Law doesn't require you to carry it all times.

Again a cop can make a consensual encounter. The lady could of rolled up the windows and the officer would had to pound sand. The thing is she is on a public roadway.

Suspicion of what? If you say anything other than what it is, you're part of the problem. People walking, regardless of where, should not be a reason to stop them and ask them for their papers. Nothing is consensual about it.

You can ask anyone for it. They don't have to provide it. I ask all the time. I stop and talk to a lot of people. I do bar walk throughs. If people tell me to go away. I comply and move onto the next person

Also I don't what they had suspicion of. If they have a lot of thefts in the area and someone is walking in an area where most don't usually travel you can articulate why you would talk to them.
