100% disability rating for just her alone would be $3938.58. With kids that would add $201 per child.

I guess you could throw in Tricare in which may not increase your income but would significantly boost compensation with family coverage a retired or disabled service member would not need to purchase on the open market or through an employer. Let’s say family coverage is 2-3 grand a month, plus some ridiculous annual out of pocket maxes and deductibles, compared to low yearly premiums and low 3k out of pocket max on Tricare.

You could say that Tricare would be as nearly as beneficial as the monthly cash disability benefit.

Even at 100% across the board, you cannot get $8k a month.

I was able to get it up to $7,995 with 7 dependent kids aged 18-24, married, 2 dependent parents, and unable to work.

Not saying it's easy, but it can be done with a little hood style mathing.

ETA: Also, if you lose a limb, you qualify for more. As previously posted:

However, this amount can easily exceed $11,000 to $12,000+ per month if the veteran qualifies for Special Monthly Compensation (SMC) for severe conditions like the loss of limbs, blindness, or needing constant Aid and Attendance.

How can she get 8K in disability? I thought it capped out around 4K.

Cost of living, and glitter, is really high in woodville, MS

Good thing that 100% disability rating also allows her property taxes to be discounted to $0.00.

You can get special compensation. Or if you're med boarded while in, you can also get retirement from the military plus disability even if you only served a few months

She is almost 100% scamming the system. Probably slept with everyone in her unit, command found out, she claimed sexual assault, and was med boarded for being insane.

They need a complete overhaul on the system. If you can't work, it's disability. If you can work, it's a pension and it's taxable income.

The first overhaul is quit calling it "disability," unless you're truly disabled. People rightly associate "disability" with being disabled or equate it to SS disability. It's mostly a workman's compensation claim for wear and tear, during your service.

After 28 years of service, shite breaks.

There's many disabled vets who you'd want to give more than 100% to. But...the ones getting 100% are scamming the system via the industry created around it. The real vets struggling aren't using the loophole. If calling someone "disabled" doesn't mean they are unable to work, then change the fricking wording. Workmen's comp...ends. These disability benefits...don't. It goes way beyond wear and tear, to the point that it's a tax free pension for vets.

I'm all for vets who were injured being made whole. This system, isn't doing that. It's just a free money bonanza, and unfortunately has sacred cow status that makes it untouchable. Our vets deserve a transparent and fair disability systems that isn't pillaged by freeloaders.
