I contracted a pretty bad case of Posion Ivy on labor day doing some yard work at my Grandmaws house. The usual stuff that I see online hasn’t really worked and its continued to spread. Do you guys have any tips on how to treat? Thanks

Oatmeal bath helps it not itch as much for a little while but nothing has really worked for me to get rid of it other that time.

Go to a walk-in clinic and get a cortisone shot.

Zanfel. It is expensive but works pretty well. Next option is a trip to the doctor for a shot and a prescription for pills and cream.

This all day.

I'm pretty allergic and this is the only OTC treatment that works.

Before you go to bed, take as hot of a shower as you can stand. And stay in there until your water heater is empty. The heat draws out the histamine. This will give you some relief and get you through the night.

I've suffered from poison ivy my entire life. In spite of the curse, I still insist on and enjoy doing my own landscaping ...and have rentals as well as my own home so compounded opportunities. You have the best recommendations already, IMO. A shot, Zanfel, or Ivarest...all are excellent choices.. but I find for me, Ivarest works about as well as either.

In my years of "hands-on" experience, talking to others that suffer from PI, and looking for the "best" solution, I've found that everyone is a little different... so you may have to try a few to see what workd best for you.
