Got to make an 8 hour solo drive tomorrow and back home the next day. Anybody got any good podcast recs. Sports, history (similar to Hardcore History), crime/mystery topics...
Thanks

Reply All is a good investigative journalism podcast. Some of their stories may be a little too left leaning for the typical poster on this board, but they do some really good stories too.
They track down an Indian phone scammer in one.
They investigate a group of hackers who steal and sell popular usernames on social media.
That's just to name a few. They're pretty good.

I would find two guests on Joe Rogans show that you would find interesting. Always makes time fly for me.

S Town was okay
Joe Rogan Experience has some extremely interesting guests, but that's completely dependent on what you like personally. My favorite episode of his is with Matthew Walker on Sleep.
The Solid Verbal, IMO, is the best overall college football pod out there. I like Pod of Geauxld as well, but they have been light on the content this season.
Monday Morning Podcast is hilarious sometimes. It's just Bill Burr talking by himself, so he can sometimes go on uninteresting tangents, but sometimes he makes some really good points and is hilarious doing it.
Armchair Expert if you're into celebrities, although it's taken a turn for the worse since all of the interviews are skype/zoom.
The Drive with peter Attia can be fascinating, but dives deeper than any other podcast out there. Many of his podcasts are so technical I have to tune out to look up stuff so I can know what they are talking about.
I like Travel With Rick Steves but, again, with the pandemic travel has pretty much stopped so it's a lot of call in about favorite traditions instead of what's actually happening around the world right now.
Hiking Thru is very woo woo and alternative mediciney but there are some great tales from thru hikers on there.
Those are just the ones I find myself tuning back into. If I had to pick three I'd pick JRE, The Solid Verbal, and the Drive

If you're into hunting, the meat eater podcast is pretty good.

If you like true crime and crazy shite, look for a series by last podcast on the left.
I suggest one of the following series:
L Ron hubbard
Jim jones
Men in black
Aum Shinrykio

cousins by blood
casefile
True crime guys
The crime in sports podcast has interesting topics, but those dudes talk a lot about themselves and you'll want to punch them.

Real Dictators
Real Narcos
Crimetown Season 1 - Season 1 is excellent, about the Rhode Island Mafia. Season 2 isn't nearly as good.
TrueSpies - Just listened the episode on the sting to take down Robert Hanson.
Jocko Podcast - The one with the lady that survived auschwitz. The ones with the guys from SOG are also great.
Covert - About military covert operations
Mafia - If you've ever watched Mafia's Greatest Hits on AHC channel, this is basically the podcast version.

I much better at suggestions for girls
I pick and choose the topics but if it’s something I’m interested in I’ll listen to Timesuck. I found my way there from scared to death.

The dream did a series on MLM season 1.
Season 2 is unfounded medical products that don't do any good like essential oils and magnet bracelets.

I am listening to NXIVM on trial. It's bout that cult and the sex slaves. Dude got 120 years for all kinds of sex crimes. Pretty good.

I need to get back into that one. Long drive Wednesday so maybe I’ll do that instead of a book.
Trashy divorces is my all time favorite but I don’t think any of you would appreciate it
