I haven't been to the new Buc-ee's yet. But an unreasonable amount will be spent in two weeks.

Traveler, Franklin area is nice and a little more affordable than Brentwood. Also convenient to I-65 for the commute.

Wait longer for the "new" to die off. It was a zoo last week.

TD Meetup can just happen at one of the many Smokey statues on campus where we can defile it.

Asked the local for help getting to “Mary-ville,” and his response was, ”Never heard of it.”

That's just being an a-hole. I think the locals take pride in pronouncing it as indistinguishable as possible. Murrvuh. It's just an inside joke at this point.

I'm not sure if she has looked at Franklin yet. I think she was looking to stay close to where her job is located, but don't think she isn't ruling anywhere out at this point.

Literally the only thing you’ll be able to do in murrville is scissor each other, so have fun with that

Maryville has one of the top public school systems in Tennessee, and is right next to the McGee Tyson Airport. There are 2 major high school football powers in Blount County (Maryville and Alcoa).

Maryville has won 17 state football championships in:1970, 1976, 1978, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2019. They have appeared in 24 state championship finals.

Alcoa has won 21 state football championships in: 1977, 1978, 1979, 1989, 2000, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022. They have appeared in 36 state championship finals.

Maryville is also home to Maryville College. I small private college with just over 1,000 students.

Maryville serves as the Headquarters for the Ruby Tuesday restaurant chain, as well as the nearby Blackberry Farms resort.

Only 1 in 3 houses in Tennessee use Natural gas as their primary fuel for home heating. The vast majority use electric heat pumps. Then again...East Tennessee is the home of TVA headquarters, and Tennessee is one of the cheaper states in the US for electricity prices at around $9.80 per kWh.

They only problem with Maryville is that people call it mur-ville. Which is dumb because its clearly MARY-ville.

Exactly...just like people pronouncing a city Hew-stun, when it is obviously Hows-ton.

Which Kroger? My oldest worked at the one on Northshore when he was in High School (2017-2018).

No it didn't.

We are meeting later this month to discuss the football season watch parties.

Wait that's still around? We'll have to re-join. We were in it when we lived up here from 2008 to 2013, but never checked back in after moving back in 2021. I remember going to a crawfish boil with Chavis I think right before the 2011 season. Good times.
