I really liked a couple of the new construction homes in Maryville with a view of the mountains, unfortunately they were all electric.

Anywhere from $5K up to $50k or more. Depending on topography, lakefront, utilities.

ETA:

40 acres for just over $200K.

20 Acres with waterfront for $300K.

24 acres in the foothills for $165K.

, do you know anything about the Brentwood (Nashville

Brentwood is pretty awesome. Probably best Nashville suburb. But it’s not cheap. Like every where in TN it’s growing too fast.

Thanks Reb. She has a good offer and some friends in the area. Hopefully it can all go well for her.

They only problem with Maryville is that people call it mur-ville.

My wife (no pics) went to UT and had a summer internship at Blackberry Farm. She got lost on her way on the first day, and had to stop to ask for directions. Asked the local for help getting to “Mary-ville,” and his response was, ”Never heard of it.”

I take it you're not from the southeast originally? That kind of pronunciation is pretty common.

Apparently we are hosting a bunch of watch parties if any TN residents want to come over.

I'm not. I am from MT. You can imagine my shock moving to LA. The cajun words were very hard to learn.

Not familiar with Maryville specifically, but we just moved to Knoxville a week ago, and it's great up here.

We bought a very old house, and while it has great bones and is structurally very sound, we look at one another every day and question whether we should have just settled for a new build where at least there are functional appliances

Beautiful part of the country, plenty to do, and the people are SO NICE. Genuinely nice.
