re: This kid that can't hold his own on instagram question - TigerNutwhack
It’s just grossing me out and comes out as not genuine. Yes, it sucks his bullied. Yes, it’s cool that celebrities are reaching out and offering support (even though I think they are also just doing it for publicists and to pat themselves on the back). But I still think the mom is being r...

re: The Way of Kings (The Stormlight Archive, Book 1) - TigerNutwhack
The problem I had is that I have not read any of his other books. This prequel book you mention, is it a one shot type book that would help me better understand this universe?
The "prequel" is his book Warbreaker, which I believe is free (or at least it was at one point). It gi...

re: The Way of Kings (The Stormlight Archive, Book 1) - TigerNutwhack
Yeah, when I read the first book (haven't read the 2nd or 3rd yet), I had no idea that it tied into a larger universe. There were some references I didn't get. I found myself backtracking, re-reading chapters, to see if I'd missed anything. Still a great read though.
Yeah, he's g...

re: Screw Shea Patterson, let's go after their back up - TigerNutwhack
I wouldn't say no to Shea Patterson, but as soon as the Ole Miss game was over I was telling people I wanted their backup. Kid looked good and like he has a ton of potential....

re: Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - Switch JRPG Official Thread (84/100 Metacritic) - TigerNutwhack
Chrono Trigger, FF6, Secret of Mana
That is about as high praise as you can give a JRPG. I never played the first one, but I just got a Switch this week and once I beat Zelda I'll be looking for something new. ...

re: PSA for Stormlight Archives Fans - TigerNutwhack
Finished listening to it this morning. Don't worry if the first couple parts of the book doesn't get your blood pumping, this book certainly delivers. ****Possible slight spoiler**** If anyone hasn't started reading this book yet and hasn't already done so, go read Warbreaker. I bel...

re: Thoughts on The Name of the Wind - TigerNutwhack
I really enjoyed it a lot, though it took maybe 5 or so chapters to really hook me in. This is one of those books that I enjoy more on audio book, partially because the narrator is so good, and partially because Rothfuss (the author) does some fun things with rhyming and word play that I didn't pick...

re: Expeditionary Force Series - TigerNutwhack
I listened to the first two or three and they were ok, but nothing special. The reader was good, but the story kinda didn't keep me interested, at least not enough to keep spending audible credits on it. I would say the Ember War saga is very much in the same genre, but was much more engaging. ...

re: Did anyone else find Ready Player One to be overrated? - TigerNutwhack
I really enjoyed it the first time I listened to it, with all the fun references and mash-ups of genre's. Once those fun references lose their shine though, the underlying story is very mediocre. My main problem was, on second reading, I hated the protagonist. He just came off as kinda a creep to me...

re: Fallout Thread: Comparing Fallout 4,3, and NV - TigerNutwhack
To me NV had by far the better narrative. It sucked me in way more than FO3 did. The companions were better also. Finally, I think it's DLC was fantastic. ...

re: Have you ever been invited to a beta test? - TigerNutwhack
I got into one of the later beta stages of World of Warcraft. It's the reason I stuck with a Paladin in vanilla even though they totally changed from when I played the beta to a few months after launch when I bought the game. I also beta tested Warcarft III, but it might have been an open beta at...

re: TAKE ACTION: Things you as a fan can do to help save this program - TigerNutwhack
I'm not an attorney, but I absolutely think this is a question the media needs to be asking. At best, it was an ethically-irresponsible contract with big-time conflicts of interest. At worst, it was a total breach of fiduciary duty that warrants a close look and potential investigation. If Al...
