Prayers for their family. This is a disgrace and this is all on Joe Biden and his administration. There’s no blaming Trump on this one, the blood is on Biden’s hands. Our Marines are designed just for this exact kind of mission we don’t even need to spin up SEAL teams or Delta’s although they damn sure wouldn’t hurt. If there are really 6,000 Marines and they are properly equipped along with our air power from bases in the area (even though some are a long way away) no Taliban force of any size would have the balls to come at them. Have the Marines put a perimeter around the airport and send in our C-17’s, C-130’s and civilian contracted aircraft to pick these high value people up and get them the hell out. Then send our Marines out and let them have the fricking country it’s a-hole of the world anyway and their own army are either cowards are Taliban supporters so there’s no hope just let them be happy living 300 years in the past.

Yes. So many times, when the government (non military) get in charge, things go from bad to FUBAR very quickly.

Experiencing Deja Vu again just like I did when Saigon fell and the U.S. was pulling out of their Embassy.
They were loading helicopters off the rooftop and thousands of S. Vietnamese who helped the U.S. during their occupation were surrounding it trying anything to get out of the country before they faced the wrath of the N. Vietnamese Army advancing on the city.
How many of those people suffered at the hands of their countrymen for working with the U.S.?
History repeating itself-------and it's sickening.
