I am praying for them, all in their situation, and the Americans (military snd non-military) to get out of there safely.

I’m also praying that Biden grows a pair and tells these thugs that if any of our people are harmed in any way that we will bomb the Taliban back to the Stone Age. That prayer is going to St. Jude.

If you SEAL buddy is getting word out count your blessings. My Spec Ops son has been radio silent since hitting boots on the ground Thursday.

The problem with that, right now, is the innocent diplomats and Afghan citizens desperately trying to flee the country - as evidenced by the videos at the airport.

Bombing ensures high innocent casualties.

My friend's wife just called and relayed information from her Seal Leader Son in Law, asking for earnest prayer for the safety of Rashied and his family.

This is questionable at best. Why does a seal team leader have his wife involved? It’s a shite situation but I question this story.

Former Deputy, friend of mine, who was working as contract security at Embassy just got out. 48 hrs after his flight was scheduled to depart. Slept on the tarmac last night.

Prayers sent. The way this whole situation has been handled by the US Govt should be an embarrassment to all Americans.

I’m honestly having a very hard time coming to terms with the fact that this country would use these translators and promise them safety in return just to cast them by the wayside when they need our protection the most. It’s sickening.

So this is what I don't get....the WH announced at the end of June that they were going to offer all translators and their families residence in the US or, in cases where they couldn't immediately get a visa, a temporary station at a different middle Eastern country until they could get their visas in order. This was going to be somewhere around 20,000 refugees. No doubt a tall task.

But, knowing it's a tall task and knowing that, at the latest we'd be out by 9/11, I just don't get the late start. The first batch of 2,500 people, according to reports, arrived stateside beginning of August. Assuming there have been another couple of flights since then, you're still looking at half the people still being stuck there.

This should've all been started much earlier, perhaps even as far back as under Trump considering his timeline had full withdrawal set for May.

It's an incredibly sad situation. We have to hope that there will be continuing operations, even covert, being performed over the coming months to get as many of those people out as we can.

I think it was a report I saw from Peter Engel that said some have had their visa paperwork being held up for 4 years. I mean come on man.

The seal team leader is in Virginia (I think). I am 100 percent certain his team is aware of what is happening, and if there is any way of communicating (and there is), then he is trying to help his translator. How do I know? The Seal Team's family is close and his MIL called us because we are that kind of people.

I will relay what I can, when I can.
