Plantar fasciitis can go away on its own.
Heel spurs just don't go away without medical treatment.
Chiropractors operate on junk science, go see a real doctor.

what have you found that works?
My wife and I both suffered from this for a long time. We both spent the majority of our workday on our feet. This is what we tried and what ultimately worked.
Tried: foot shots, sleeping brace, PT band exercises, wood massage roller, various insoles
What actually helped: strategic use of stool/sitting throughout the day, keto, weight loss
What finally solved the problem: new jobs/time off our feet

Stop walking barefoot in the house. My wife and I both developed plantar fasciitis and was told by our doctor to wear shoes with good sole support at all times, even around the house. It went away for both of us.
My experience is the opposite of this. I want my foot to work naturally and strengthen/use the muscles as god intended. I went to shoes with little to no support. Wear plain topsider’s mostly. Have zero drop athletic shoes. Even wore five finger shoes for a while when doing athletic stuff. Feet got better and I haven’t had a problem since.
I think wearing too much support causes problems. The foot is designed to walk and run without artificial support.
My brother in law solved his by getting his foot scraped by a physical therapist. Said it hurt like heck, but worked.

This is interesting and I have only recently heard about that concept of “drop.” My question is how do you know wha the ideal drop is for your foot? Can they check that at a good running store?

Wearing Altra zero drop shoes fixed mine. Kid at running shoe store suggested it. Inserts don’t work, especially with New Balance. You are lifting the heel in the shoes, then more with the insert, when you need to be stretching. I have been wearing Altras since, being pain free for 4 years.

Had really bad 8 years ago, did the frozen water bottle, stretches, got good insoles. After six months it was just get new insoles. It hasn't bothered me in a few years.
Even at its peak, it never hurt as much when wearing
Nike just do it slides, wore them out. Got 2 new pair, one for upstairs, one for down stairs. I never go barefoot.

I danced with an podiatrist for two years with plantar 350$ inserts, shots, PT and on and on and saw a FB article on foot specialist in BR an orthopedist. She in 15 minutes told me it wasn't plantar but a tendon issue...Insurance required more PT until I had the surgery...Called Tendon release..Wasnt pretty got a 4 inch scar on my heel and ankle a little more PT and Im back to normal. So take your time and do it right.

Yes. Certain shoe stores will be able to give you a good rec on heel drop, based on your arches/soles/use/etc. I doubt that it's 100% accurate, but it's a great starting point. Some will even have a digital measure. Ask them about trying the shoes out some, then bringing them back if they don't work...may or may not offer that, or may have to pay for that benefit.
You are going to get a ton of shoe recs from people. Most people have different feet, though. So, while Ghost 14s are great for me, they may not be for you or others. And, inserts would certainly re-balance some heel drops, but maybe not all.
Find the right heel drop, and you shouldn't need inserts.
ETA: For some, walking bare foot is the devil and for others it's a remedy. Same goes for shoes. Wearing zero drop is the devil for me, for others it's perfect.

Modern footwear is the primary culprit here. I had plantar in both feet. I fixed them both with stretches, zero drop shoes, and lots of exercise. Arch supports or orthotics should be a last resort.

Weighted sled backwards/forwards: LINK
Do these is some zero drop shoes like Vivo, Xero, or even barefoot. The sled fixed it for me almost instantly.

This x1000.. my doctor recommended stretches and going barefoot as much as possible. I thought she was crazy at first as it sucked. I even switched to minimal shoes that have zero drop, wide toe boxes, and zero arch support. Basically like walking barefoot. I made those changes 4 years ago and don't have any pain anymore, not even the standard heel pain in the morning.

I found stretching worked and particularly before getting out of bed. Just gently flex your feet towards your shins while lying there before getting up. Also, never go barefoot. Get some slip-ons with good support.

I went through hell when I had it, tried several different things. But he only thing that healed mine was the shoe inserts with the foam ball in the middle of them. I forgot what they are called but I got them at Walmart, made my foot feel great. It still took several weeks to fully heal though.
I had a friend that had Plantar Fasciitis, she had tried several different things that didn't work. I told her about the insert and hers healed up after using it.
