Picked up my first luxury watch yesterday - Omega Seamaster

I went with this model:
I felt it in the gut when I paid for it but I have been eying one for a while. Any OT’ers into lux watches here? Will this become an addiction?

Looks like they made a mistake. Watches should say twelve at the top, not eleven.

Don’t have an omega yet. Love them though. Bracelets have a great heft to them. My eye is on the Seamaster Planet Ocean.
I have a few watches and my favorite is the Marathon JSAR.

Yes.
I have two Rolex watches and one for my wife given to her at our 5 yr anniversary.
It all started when I was 9 years old. My Grandfather owned a couple Rolex watches which were the old school types....the basic toolwatch built like a tank. I was with him when he tried on and purchased a President Day Date. I vividly remember it as it was the first experiences in my life when I saw someone rewarding himself for long term success.
He gave it to me before he passed. I only wear it with suits and jackets. I love looking at its detail when sitting at a table, etc.
Nice watch. I like that model.
Now that you have a watch which is basically indestructable and will last a lifetime, you will never buy a $250-$500 watch again.

The Planet Oceans are nice, but probably a little bigger than I like. Right now I’m trying to decide between the “sapphire sandwich” moon watch and the Seamaster 300 co-axial
