And for the record, I'm not opposed to safe injection sites. The problem is nobody wants them around their neighborhood or their business. And who can blame them?
just like the African savanah, they stay near the water source
the Citys that understand this have a better handle on the issue

It’s a start in the right direction if they want to eradicate heroin use the area. If they would be giving out clean and pure forms of heroin it would be even better. This, combined with intense psycho-therapy and a weening off process plus job placement after has eradicated heroin use in some areas in Europe. An addict abuses because of personal emotional pain.

Provide them all with hot doses of fentanyl and be done with these drags.

There are some countries that provide heroin to addicts so that they know what amount they are getting and it has also had an impact on crime (lower crime).
I am not disputing this, but I would like to see real data (link?)

I would like to see those sites used for entrapment.
Clean up the filth.

This does not surprise me at all. I went to visit Philadelphia last year for an Eagles game and I was floored by how big of a homeless problem they have.
We had to watch where we stepped because there were needles everywhere. The place also stunk of piss. The homeless were so bad that they had military cots set up beside large buildings that they slept on. Several people we walked by you couldn't tell if they were dead or alive.
If Philly is that bad I can't imagine California. Unreal.

Well that will certainly make things better.

More waste of tax payer funds.

The homeless epidemic in California and other major American cities like Philly is not a homeless problem. It is a drug abuse and mental health problem. Every single one of these people chooses to live on the streets in order to use heroin or drink until vegetative. Facilitating drug use will make the problem worse. There are plenty of documentaries out there right now covering these people in LA and they all admit this is how they want to live in order to keep getting high. As a society we should allow people to do as they wish but I don’t want to pay for the consequences of their bad decisions. This program in philly is simply the public paying for the actions of drug addicts. It’s wrong and will just create more addicts.

I listened to a guy on Joe Rogan discussing this.
He was describing 1 somewhere in Europe.
Government produced Crack Pipes available.
Their claim for the need for it,is that no one has ever OD'd(dead) at their facility.

I wonder how Philly treats it’s veterans?
I haven't lived in Philly in a while, but last I checked they were making a good effort to ensure homeless veterans get a home. My uncle is a community activist and a veteran up there and he claims they are doing right by them. But I linked an article from 2015 that covers it.
