Pharmacy: This Is What Happens When You Oversaturate A Market

Way too many pharmacy schools and graduates for the market. If you have a child or grandchild thinking for pharmacy school, you might want to try to convince them otherwise.

Anywho, it’s a job posting for a pharmacist position in AZ. Pay is listed as $20-30/hour. Hard to justify paying $200,000+ for an education if that’s what you will make.

Did you recently graduate school and realize that real life is hard work? Have you realized that maybe life isn't as glamorous as you thought and you actually have to contribute value to get value back?
Well then just go back to school! Trust us, there will be jobs available for you that line up with all your childhood expectations, just attend ...... law or ........ pharmacy school!

If by pharmacy you mean law schools then yes, definitely. There are only 2 pharmacy schools in Louisiana.
Pharmacists are a necessity, lawyers are not. Almost every grocery and big box retail store has a pharmacy not to mention community ones. I have no problem with pharmacists as they’re very knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. They’re not screwing people out of thousands for not doing their jobs.

Every time I get a script filled at a major outlet I have to think about how long they went to school and still have to put up with the public like a retail clerk.
If I were a pharmacist, it would absolutely have to be at a hospital or at a locally owned pharmacy in a small town somewhere.

Friend of mine sent me a posting the other day of a hospital position for $30 an hour in California...

I would agree trust me.. but we have zero leverage whatsoever . There aren’t any jobs out there or if they do exist, the pay is shite
They can let us go and bring in a new grad for $80,000 a year
