1. Working from home helps on the gas.

2. Speaking of gas, Sam's Club is the cheapest in the area. But if I'm not around here, GasBuddy card get me at least 3 cents off a gallon (and with "deal discounts" sometimes more)

3. Estate sales. You may think AntiqueTiger type stuff, but you can find household chemicals, laundry and bathroom items, light bulbs, sometimes even food (but be careful that it hasn't expired). So what if it's half used? Often the second day is 25% off and the final day can be 50% off or even more. And by then unless you're looking at an expensive item, sometimes you can get deals.

4. For internet and cable services, when your current deal ends, see what they will do to keep you. Be prepared to change companies, don't be brand loyal.

5. For those in Texas who can pick their electric provider, sometimes your current one will have a deal to keep you. But again, don't be brand loyal, change if needed.

6. Check your insurance. Do you have too much? Do you need comp and collision for a car where the repairs would be as much as the value? And do you really need to stay with the firm you have? (If it's your wife's brother, maybe. Or maybe not.)

7. If Warren Buffett can clip coupons, you can too. I was looking at $120 to fix a chipped windshield, got a mail flyer with a coupon from a local firm offering to fix it for $60.

What, are you kidding? If there’s one thing we learned from this last POTUS run it’s that no matter what a dem will be elected from now on. There’s no way in hell those late night “found” votes were all for Biden.

If it were that blatant and obvious, I think people would be brought up on charges at this point.

The fact that trump lost in the same districts where other conservatives won makes me think that there are a lot of people that just didn’t like trump.

I wasn’t gonna replace my stolen motorcycle but I’m currently looking for one just bc saving on gas will basically pay for it. Gonna start fishing from a kayak as well

Haven't changed anything, but it will delay purchases on a new boat and truck that I was looking forward to.

This guy needs to discover Dollar Tree. Plenty of food and household cleaning products for a dollar.

sold my house and bought a smaller one in a more rural area without a mortgage and to bank the excess proceeds.

thats the big one for me. i dont need a big mortgage hanging over my head right now with no idea what's about to happen. I gave myself a $3,000+ monthly raise just by eliminating the mortgage & extras to maintain a larger house.

Instead of getting household supplies when we need them during our typical grocery run (detergent, TP, etc.) we started using Costco.

I'm more cautious about using the car. I ride my bike everywhere and we've stopped random evening outings that aren't necessary.

That's really it. We just dropped $4k on accommodations for a vacation in September. My wife and I lived paycheck to paycheck for a while, especially with me in school. She worked while I was in school and deserves to go somewhere, state of the country be damned. We've been together for going on 8 years, married for 5 and all of our trips have been to visit back home which has felt more like business than leisure. We want to relax.
