Watching the Sunday news show , most discussion is what will people do in the future. Below is a list of things that I have already done.

New car purchase. used to replace at 10 years. Currently into 12 years on my new car and am using duck tape and cable ties to hold it together till the car market returns to normal.

Sold off shore boat in December as 2 mpg was getting expensive to fill 140 gallon tank

diet has shifted from beef 4-5 days a week to chicken , pork and fish. Beef is now 1 every 2 weeks.

Vacation to Moab Utah in August was scrubbed..

Expensive restaurants [table clothes] is off the list of attractions

It would bet interesting to hear what folks have done to submit to inflation

I'm fasting today.

I don't spend money on food, if I don't eat.

For me, we just chug along as usual because we already live like that, by choice. I am also in the new truck market, but not this market. I am waiting too.

Food is really expensive so I’ve begun using meth to cut down on how much I eat.

I haven't changed anything. Probably should but I don't live check to check or check my balance when I fill up.

I called my insurance guy and saved $2700 between home and auto for the year.

Wife got started a new job making $1500 more per month and got a great signing bonus so we don’t need to do anything. I’ve only filled up my new F-250 once since I got it 6 weeks ago so driving that less helps also.

Company pays for 85% of my gas for my company car so that’s what I drive and leave the 250 in the garage.

I only take my boat out 4 times a week right now. And my jet skis that eat gas at 230 hp, maybe one or 2 afternoons per week.

Maybe if you had stayed in school you would have a better job and life wouldn't be so tough.

Nothing, really. I work from home and am comfortable financially. I thought about driving out to Hattiesburg to see LSU but my only hesitation is that I have two beach trips and a cruise coming up this summer so that would have probably been close to $400 on gas alone. I’m not frugal but I am prudent.

Im working with my HR Dept to make a few changes. So far the only personnel change was my wife. Traded her out for the frugal wife who was riding the bench
