I’ve only seen women do that in my neighborhood.

What do you want them to do, get fat as hell, then walk all over the neighborhood?

Let them exercise without your lazy arse judging them.

I never even thought about it until this thread, but now I want a weighted vest to wear when I ride.

Thanks for the idea

I don’t have a goatee and my helmet doesn’t fit backwards, though. And my head is too small to wear sunglasses with a helmet. Any other ideas to make me fit your mold?

Pretty common with mostly women in my neighborhood. The only negative I can say about it is the vest shouldn’t replace resistance training (which is much more important imo).

Is that just the vest or are they carrying something as well.

It’s usually weighted.

This is why I dont GAF what other people think...

We have one thread full of smarmy little underachievers whining about fat people, and now this thread started by a porch sitter complaining about people trying to lose weight/get fit.

Ya'll should form a club and meet.

Hey with as far as all of you losers are now I’m in favor of anyone going outside and walking at any pace wearing anything.

Why don't you focus on your own faults?

How exactly are you considered an “underachiever” for acknowledging that fat people are weak, disgusting, and likely not someone you want to have to depend on for anything?

Am I missing something here? In what world would someone with bad knees want to wear a weighted vest, which would add stress to the knees?

It's lower impact than running. Remember F = mass * velocity squared. It's a way to increase F without increasing the jarring repeated impact velocity of running.

Being lower impact that running isn't a very good argument, since running is the highest impact normal activity that you can do. If walking is absolutely the only exercise available, fine, but rowing, cycling and swimming all offer a higher caloric expenditure with less stress to the joints.
