Y’all notice this? I’ve noticed it only in women, actually. What is that?

Even a shortish uuum is irritating.
Have a plan before you speak, choose your words BEFORE opening your trap; that way, you aren't searching for words in mid-sentence.

Like the kind of umm that prefaces a snide comment? It’s pretty bitchy.

I work with a guy who does that. Takes him forever to get to the point. There’s nothing that can be said in 10 seconds that he can’t turn into 10 minutes of droning.

One of my coworkers had enough of it last year and asked him to “get to the verbs”.

First thing they teach you not to say in speech class. No matter what follows you sound like an idiot.

Beginning every sentence with "So" drives me up the wall.

I ha a co-worker who ends many sentences with “and everything” and it’s maddening.

“We’re going to lunch and everything.”
“Last weekend we painted the house and everything.”

It's an affectation some use when responding to obviously stupid statements. You probably only hear it a lot from women because of what you're saying to them.

I’m not sure, Rig. Is that that a Philly trait?

Have you overheard Swift saying to the defense on the field that he just ran past that arse for a TD and everything?
