You see this a lot in the 55-75 crowd. Any older and they were probably retired before technology really took off, but this age group has some of the most irritating pieces of shite.

I can't tell you how many times these a-holes get all pissy because we want to email them something as if email is some crazy new invention.

People? Hell there's entire industries that don't. Two that come to mind are the medical field and the legal\attorney field. Both of those fields still heavily depend on faxing.

Consider apps like TikTok that you probably think are worthless to your life and geared toward children.

Now consider that you're already one of the people that you're speaking out against.

I thought we were talking about basic productivity apps like text, email, calculator, maps, etc. People refuse to adjust to the new normal and there's nothing "cool" or "manly" about it.

I personally hate texting. I can get more information in a 2 minute phone call than I ever could texting for 15 minutes.

Of course that pretty much happens when you only own a flip phone like mine. I've not embraced a lot of technology out there in today's world.

Just the opposite. Especially with women. They’ll blather on for about 15 mins with information that could have been covered in a text it would have taken me 2 seconds to read

I'd just text it to them that way if they forget they have something to fall back on.

I've never had to deal with any of that stuff but my grandfather is pretty tech savvy.

"Don't write anything you can phone. Don't phone anything you can talk. Don't talk anything you can whisper. Don't whisper anything you can smile. Don't smile anything you can nod. Don't nod anything you can wink."

Earl Long

This is why I avoid using modern technology, unless I have to.

Yeah, I remember the time my department head emailed the answer to a question he had to dig up some info for, instead of walking 30-40 feet to answer the guy.

Many years ago I started working at a large tech company, the 3 co-workers I shared a cubicle with would Email me from 3 ft away that they were leaving to go to lunch, the restroom, or whatever. I discovered it was common practice there, and started looking for a new job.

I'm married, so I see your point. My wife takes the L-O-N-G way in telling me almost anything. If she texted like she talks, her daily log of texts would be as long as "War And Peace".

Who the hell has to text for 15 minutes?
If I need to let three or four friends know something it's just so damn easy to fire off a text to all of them at the same time.
Are you saying you would rather make four phone calls vs send one text?
