People Who Refuse To Use Modern Technology

Anybody knows someone who refuses to use modern technology?
Long story short. Had to call someone. He wanted information I had to find out and I told him as soon as I get it I will text it to him and he tells me "Call. I do not text with anyone".
If all I have to do is inform you of something, why wouldn't you rather get a text with the information? I should wait until about 11PM tonight and call him.

I'm not sure when refusing to embrace modern tech became an indication of machismo, but it's a damn shame it happened.

You see this a lot in the 55-75 crowd. Any older and they were probably retired before technology really took off, but this age group has some of the most irritating pieces of shite.
I can't tell you how many times these assholes get all pissy because we want to email them something as if email is some crazy new invention.

i tried to get an email address from this woman i thought was someone i knew. well not knew, but i saw her once and thought it was her. well maybe not her specifically but when i saw her i thought that person looked like the person i thought she was and was most likely her. i asked the person who i thought looked like the person that i saw who i thought was her for her email and she refused.
i dont know if the person i asked for her email that i thought looked like the person i thought was the person i was thinking of just didnt have email or was just refusing to give it to me for whatever reason. anyway has anyone else ever had an encounter with someone they didnt know but thought they recognized in real life from somewhere else?

Just because it is modern doesn't mean it is better in every situation. More times than I care to remember after bouncing Emails, and Texts back and forth for half a day I finally just call the person, and resolve the issue in 30 seconds.

I know a few people who live in the bush or villages and they don't have a smartphone and don't use computers, seem happy as can be
